Sheridan Bruce was created by Julie Hogg as a second adventure, one that is both deeply personal and rooted in a lifelong passion for interiors and collecting.

The name itself tells the story. Sheridan comes from Julie’s mother’s maiden name and is also her middle name. Bruce honors her father. Together, the name brings both sides of her family into the foundation of the brand and reflects a sense of heritage, memory, and meaning.

Julie’s interest in interior design began early. As a child, she was constantly rearranging her bedroom furniture and often getting in trouble for scratching the hardwood floors. As a teenager, she worked alongside her mother selecting fabrics to reupholster the living room and repainting rooms throughout the house.

In 2021, after the loss of both of her parents, Julie faced her most meaningful design project yet. She undertook a full renovation of her childhood home, honoring what had been while creating something entirely her own. As she began decorating the space, she found it surprisingly difficult to source fresh and elevated pieces locally. Too often, she had to travel across the city or shop online to find décor that felt distinctive, collected, and timeless.

Frequent work trips to Paris further shaped her vision. She was drawn to the effortless elegance of Parisian apartments, spaces that feel layered over time and filled with objects that reflect travel, history, and personal taste rather than trends. She began bringing those ideas home, blending old and new, romantic and modern, practical and beautiful.

From that experience, Sheridan Bruce was born.

Sheridan Bruce is designed for people who believe a home should reflect experience, curiosity, and individuality. It is not about perfection. It is about creating spaces that feel lived-in, thoughtful, and personal. The store is a place to discover special pieces that tell a story, evoke memory, and make a house truly feel like home.
